Irony

Webster defines irony as, "incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result (2): an event or result marked by such incongruity"

Ok class, let's use it in a sentence: I decided I wanted to start a blog about running while I was walking.

Ok, so it might be a bit of a stretch, but in all reality, it wasn't any regular walk; I was walking back from a race that had just been postponed. And, it wasn't any regular race, it was my first real race since tearing the ACL in my right knee last October.

The past eight months have been a struggle to get back into the form I had struggled to get into in the first place.

This blog will take you through my journey to get me back to where I ran a 19:50 5k last September, and beyond.

So, welcome. I hope your shoes are tied, because I'm already off.
